History	Nov. 1923: YAMAWA MFG Co., Ltd. was founded in Hatagaya, Shibuya Ward, Tokyo.
	May1945: Due to a government evacuation order, the factory was relocated to Yonezawa City, Yamagata Prefecture (Yonezawa Plant).
	Feb. 1953: The Yonezawa Plant was spun off and established as a limited company, YAMAWA MFG. Co., Ltd.
	July 1962: The company name was changed to YAMAWA Seiki Co., Ltd.
	Oct. 1963: The company was commended by the Director-General of the Agency of Industrial Science and Technology as an authorized factory permitted to display the Japanese Industrial Standards (JIS) mark.
	Nov. 1973: The company received the Minister of International Trade and Industry Award as an Excellent Factory for the Implementation of Industrial Standardization.
	June 1996: ISO 9001 quality certification was obtained.
	Jan. 2003: ISO 14001 environmental certification was obtained.
	Nov. 2009: The company received the Environmental Contribution Award from the Japan Cutting & Wear-resistant Tool Association.
	Nov 2014: The company received the Environmental Contribution Award from the Japan Cutting & Wear-resistant Tool Association.
	Feb. 2018 : The company received the Environmental Activities Award from the Japan Cutting & Wear-resistant Tool Association.
	Dec. 2020: The company was merged into YAMAWA MFG. Co., Ltd. through an absorption-type merger.
